The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) confirmed the information about the detention of the former deputy. However, the name of the suspect was not given, citing the secrecy of the investigation.
«A businessman applied to the SCNS with a statement, who had suffered $2 million damage as a result of fraudulent actions committed by a citizen when he was a deputy of Parliament. A criminal case was initiated under the Article «Fraud» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The man was detained and charged. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the period of investigation,» the state committee reported.
