Development of an agreement with Russia on the construction of nine secondary schools in Kyrgyzstan is nearing completion. The Ambassador of Russia to the Kyrgyz Republic Nikolai Udovichenko announced today at a press conference.
According to him, consultations on the text of the agreement between the parties will be held in the near future. After that, the practical start of construction will begin.
«We will continue to support the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan. We see that the leadership of Kyrgyzstan also supports Russian as an official language. In this context, I note with satisfaction that the draft law on the state language, which was submitted for public discussion, did not even go further to the Parliament and was returned for revision. There were quite a lot of flaws, in my opinion, in terms of ensuring the rights of Russian-speaking citizens,» Nikolai Udovichenko noted.
