The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev appointed a new head physician of the Bishkek Scientific Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics (BSRCTO). The press center of the ministry confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the hospital will be headed by the head physician Damir Duishenov. The Ministry of Health said that in 2004-2019 he worked as a traumatologist at the center, since 2019 he was in charge of the Traumatology Department at the Tokmak Territorial Hospital and was an assistant at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (postgraduate education).
«Earlier, before the re-registration of the relevant documents, Guliya Kozhokmatova was appointed to the position of the acting director. But due to the fact that center will be renamed and it will function as an Emergency Clinical Hospital, the position of director has been eliminated,» the Ministry of Health noted.
By the order of the Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev the center was transformed into the Clinical Emergency Hospital. Its director Sabyrbek Dzhumabekov was relieved of his post. Guliya Kozhokmatova was appointed an acting director, and Damir Duishenov was appointed the head physician.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic announced that the City Clinical Emergency Hospital on the basis of BSRCTO the will be a multidisciplinary specialized institution for providing round-the-clock emergency medical care to the population in case of acute diseases, injuries, accidents, poisoning, as well as in case of mass injuries and disasters. It was reported that the BSRCTO has not been re-registered since 2004.
The Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev believes that Sabyrbek Dzhumabekov created the center and has been appointing himself a director since 2004.
Sabyrbek Dzhumabekov, the director of BSRCTO, stated that Alymkadyr Beishenaliev intends to disrupt the grant project for the construction of a new hospital and remove him from post.
