The suspect in the brutal beating of a small boy has been arrested for the duration of the investigation. The decision was made by the Sokuluk District Court.
According to the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region, the 34-year-old local resident has been detained for two months.
The boy is 20 months old. Earlier, human rights activists asked the Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev to transfer the boy to Bishkek for treatment. The head of the ministry said that the child would be hospitalized in one of the city hospitals.
The Ombudsman’s Office reported that the suspect constantly beat the boy and his father and repeatedly shot at the legs of the latter with an air rifle. The reason for the abuse on the part of the employer was a debt.
On February 3, the child was admitted to the Sokuluk Territorial Hospital with hematomas. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of torture of the two-year-old child. The police detained the 34-year-old man and placed him in the detention center.
