The Bishkek Scientific Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics will be transformed into a City Emergency Hospital. Press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The head of the ministry Alymkadyr Beishenaliev visited the center today and had a conversation with the staff of the medical institution.
He stated that the Ministry of Health, after agreeing with the Bishkek City Hall, would reorganize the center, transforming it into the City Clinical Emergency Hospital. The department’s lawyers are preparing the relevant documents for the reorganization.
«The meaning of the reorganization is that, at the moment, the Bishkek Scientific Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics operates on the basis of the adopted tripartite agreement of the founders: the capital municipality, the Bishkek City Council and the Ministry of Health. In accordance with the laws on Local State Administration, Local Self-Government Bodies and on the Status of the Capital, the Bishkek City Council cannot be a founder of the center. At the same time, funding comes through the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health,» the ministry said.
It was added that due to the coronavirus pandemic, there was a shortage of beds for hospitalization of patients in the republic.
«The City Clinical Emergency Hospital will be a multidisciplinary specialized institution to provide round-the-clock emergency medical care to the population in case of acute diseases, injuries, accidents, poisoning, as well as in case of mass injuries and disasters,» the press center concluded.
