Kyrgyzstan imposed a six-month ban on the export of medicines. The Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Such measures were taken to protect life and health of the population, to prevent critical shortages in the provision with medicines and medical products to prevent a complicated epidemic situation.
In accordance with the decision, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce has to notify the Committee on Safeguards of the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission of the introduction of the temporary ban.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to notify the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States of the introduction of the temporary ban no later than three days from the entry into force of this decree.
The relevant decision on the introduction of the temporary export ban was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and comes into force after 15 days from the date of its official publication.
