«I am sure that we will direct our common efforts to establish a lasting and sustainable peace on the long-suffering Afghan land as soon as possible. I consider it necessary to continue providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan,» the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at the summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and China. Press service of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan, like the entire international community, is concerned about the difficult military-political situation in this republic, which has become a key problem in the system of regional and global security.
«Today, in the interests of the entire world community, including the countries of Central Asia and the PRC, it is important to lay the foundations for future dialogue and interaction with the new authorities of Afghanistan on a number of the most pressing issues of the current agenda,» he said.
The President also noted that the Kyrgyz Republic attaches priority to participation in the antiterrorist activities of the world community, including interaction within the framework of international organizations and collective operations.
He stressed one of the main areas of partnership between the summit participants, which is the fight against terrorism and extremism.
«I would like to note the growing importance of cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which is an effective platform for our states to coordinate common efforts to ensure regional security, counter new terrorist challenges and threats, combat separatism and extremism, and drug trafficking. The coherence of our actions against international terrorists, including during the recent tragic events in Kazakhstan, is effective and convincing,» Sadyr Japarov said.
He believes that building up cooperation in this direction will help strengthen the potential of law enforcement agencies and significantly increase the impact of regional and international cooperation.
