The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan (CEC) canceled registration of the deputy of the Parliament Orozaiym Narmatova. The decision was made at a CEC meeting.
Earlier, the commission received materials from the State Committee for National Security on the diploma of higher education of the deputy Orozaiym Narmatova. According to investigators, this document was illegally obtained. In addition, the conclusion of the Ministry of Education came to the CEC.
During the discussion, it turned out that the rector of the university signed an order to revoke the deputy’s diploma on January 19.
Based on this, a decision was made to cancel the registration of Orozaiym Narmatova as a deputy, since presence of a higher education is a mandatory requirement of the law for a deputy. If it is violated, the CEC is authorized to deprive of the mandate for this.
It is noted that Orozaiym Narmatova can challenge the decision in court.
It became known that a criminal case was initiated against officials of the Jalal-Abad State University on the fact of illegal enrollment of MP Orozaiym Narmatova to the university.
