The recommendation contains a list of measures of national and supranational regulation to improve the competitiveness of the sugar industry and ensure food security. The document includes measures on resource provision, production, development of mutual trade and export potential, information work and exchange of experience.
«Implementation of these measures will ensure balanced beet sugar production, meet the needs of the domestic market of the Union, increase exports of white sugar and sugar-containing products to third countries, support a favorable investment climate in the beet sugar subcomplex of the agro-industrial complex,» said Artak Kamalyan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex of the EEC.
The EAEU countries should pay special attention to the development of selection and seed production of sugar beets. This is necessary to stabilize the growth of industrial production and sale of high-quality competitive seeds.
