At least 3,396 people were injured in traffic accidents in Bishkek in 2021. The Department of the Patrol Police Service of the capital reported.
According to it, a total of 2,663 traffic accidents were registered, in which 64 people were killed.
At least 1,346 registered road accidents involved pedestrians. «This is due to the fact that pedestrians do not always follow the rules of the road, cross the road in the wrong place, are distracted by mobile phones, get off the public transport in the middle of the highway,» the statement says.
