COVID-19: Sixth treatment protocol approved in Kyrgyzstan

The sixth treatment protocol has been approved in Kyrgyzstan. The Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, it happened a week ago. «All regions of Kyrgyzstan are already working according to it. The protocol itself consists of 200 pages, we have made an abbreviated version of 17 pages and sent it out,» he said.

The minister noted that the basis of the document remained the same. «The changes are related to the treatment of children and pregnant women. As the strain changes, the diagnosis and treatment tactics are also changed each time,» he noted.

Alymkadyr Beishenaliev added that there are more Omicron cases now. «That is 70-80 percent will be treated on an outpatient basis by district doctors, those in a moderate and severe condition will be hospitalized. All institutions are ready, medical workers are ready, medicines are available,» he noted.

It is worth reminding that the incidence of COVID-19 has been significantly increasing in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of the year. The Ministry of Health announced the beginning of the fourth wave and the emergence of the contagious Omicron strain in the country. At least 781 new cases of coronavirus and community-acquired pneumonia have been registered for the last 24 hours, including 36 in medical workers.
