Due to another rise in incidence of COVID-19 and community-acquired pneumonia, the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan resumed daily briefings. Ainura Akmatova, head of the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health, reported.
She noted that the decision was made to provide the population with reliable information from primary sources. «So that people do not panic, as panic leads to stress and production of the hormone cortisol. The latter affects the immune system. That means a person becomes more susceptible to infections,» Ainura Akmatova said.
She urged Kyrgyzstanis to go to vaccination centers and get vaccinated against coronavirus.
A sharp increase in incidence of coronavirus and community-acquired pneumonia is registered in the country after New year holidays. At least 586 new cases of COVID-19 and community-acquired pneumonia have been registered in the country for the last 24 hours, including 39 among health workers.
