Power companies have been instructed to prevent the reduction of electricity consumption by introducing restrictions. The National Energy Holding of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Chairman of the National Energy Holding Talaibek Baigaziyev instructed managers of power companies to step up efforts for reliable operation of electric power equipment and to avoid restrictions on consumers. It was noted that in order to maintain the work of the power industry not only in this heating season, but also in the coming winter, strict compliance with the established limits of electricity consumption is required.

«All information about possible planned blackouts in the regions of the country is thoroughly checked by the departments of the National Energy Holding. If the information about the restrictions is confirmed, measures will be taken against the general directorate of each company, up to and including dismissal from their positions. As of today, all construction and installation work, which leads to disconnection of consumers, has been stopped. Therefore, no prolonged interruption of power supply to consumers is allowed, except for possible emergency shutdowns and work to replace overloaded equipment and transformers. We kindly ask you to send information about power supply restrictions for more than two hours through the virtual reception of the official website of the National Energy Holding and the company’s pages on social media,» the statement reads.
