Leaders of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will arrive in St. Petersburg on December 28 for a traditional informal meeting at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin’s press service reported.
The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, leaders of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as well as the first president Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will come to St. Petersburg.
December 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the creation of the CIS.
The agenda of the meeting of the heads of state of the Commonwealth is not yet known.
