The second round of negotiations over Kumtor gold mine was held yesterday in Bishkek. Kumtor Gold Company reported.
The negotiations were held in the format of a video conference call behind closed doors. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov, the Minister of Justice Ayaz Baetov, external manager of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC Tengiz Bolturuk and other interested parties took part in the negotiations on behalf of Kyrgyzstan. Scott Perry, President and CEO of Centerra Gold, represented the Canadian side.
«The parties exchanged views on the current situation around the mine and discussed issues related to litigation. As a result of the dialogue, its participants decided to continue the discussion today, December 24,» the company said.
