Students from Pakistan ask the authorities to ensure their safety in Kyrgyzstan. They told 24.kg news agency.
More and more cases of robberies and beatings of foreign students are registered in the country every day.
«Students studying in Kyrgyzstan no longer feel safe. For example, two Pakistani students were robbed and beaten by local residents recently. We ask the Cabinet of Ministers to take security measures for protection of foreign citizens studying in Kyrgyzstan. The Departments of Internal Affairs should also provide interpreters from the English language, given the number of foreigners studying here,» the message says.
A Pakistani student was beaten in the capital’s Emperiya Pizzy café on December 8.
A diesel locomotive hit a Pakistani citizen in Bishkek last week. The Foreign Ministry reported that he turned out to be a second year student at the International Medical School of the International University of Kyrgyzstan.
