President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov took part in the ceremony of opening of a new building of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) in Jalal-Abad region. Press service of the head of state reported.

Speaking to the staff and long-service employees of the SCNS, the President noted that the opening of a new modern building is special. All conditions have been created in one of the largest regions of the country for the performance of official duties by employees of the national security agencies.

«As the world changes rapidly, and science and technology develop, new challenges arise that pose a threat to the country’s security. Careful work must be done to prevent illegal activities that pose a serious security threat, such as terrorism, extremism, ethnic hatred, human trafficking, arms and drug trafficking,» he said.

We should not ignore factors that can seriously damage the national security of our country.

He drew particular attention to the need to create appropriate conditions for the successful work of the State Committee for National Security officers to ensure national security. The President noted the well-coordinated and consistent work of the security personnel, who are making great strides in the fight against corruption, smuggling, terrorism, religious extremism, drug trafficking and organized crime.

«This is evidenced by the results of a number of high-profile cases that were presented to the public through the media. There is a result, so there is work. I am sure that the SCNS employees have the spirit of the great ancestors of Manas, Barsbek, Kurmanbek baatyr and others who fought for peace and tranquility of the people of Kyrgyzstan. Having such patriotic sons and daughters, there is every reason to say that the future of Kyrgyzstan is in good hands,» Sadyr Japarov said.

The President said that the leadership of the country and the SCNS would continue to pay special attention to the activities of the security forces and provide support for the full work of each employee.

He also stressed the need to support and ensure social guarantees and appropriate conditions for employees that ensure security of the country and citizens. At the same time, the President noted that one should avoid the habit of demanding any results or achievements from employees, without creating conditions, depending on the volume and complexity of the work performed.
