The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China Du Dewen and asked for assistance in solving the problems that arose at Chinese seaports during the transportation of cargoes of Kyrgyz businessmen. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The parties exchanged views on topical issues of the Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation and discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to cargo transportation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the PRC.
The official informed the ambassador about existing difficulties in transportation of cargoes of Kyrgyz entrepreneurs in Qingdao and Lianyungang seaports bound for Kyrgyzstan from South Korea. He asked for assistance in solving the situation.
Ruslan Kazakbaev also told Du Dewen that Kyrgyzstan actively promotes the interests of mountain countries.
Earlier, the Kyrgyz Republic came up with an initiative to adopt a resolution at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly to declare 2022 the International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the Chinese side to sponsor this project.
