The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved changes aimed at expanding the practice of using the declaration for goods intended for express cargo (DTEG) and simplifying transportation of express cargo. Press service of EEC reported.

Currently, the declaration applied to express shipments can be used in relation to goods with a value of not more than €200 euros in equivalent. The changes increase this limit to an equivalent of €1,000. The decision regarding exports and other procedures not associated with payment of duties and taxes is scheduled to come into force in 30 calendar days after the date of its publication — in January 2022.

As for goods subject to the customs procedure for their domestic consumption, the changes will take effect after April 1, 2023. This is due to the need to finalize the information systems of the customs authorities to ensure information exchange.

«These changes, in our opinion, will contribute to the expansion of the practice of applying this simplified form of declaration, including in relation to exports, as well as acceleration of customs operations in relation to express cargo,» the Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the EEC Maksat Mamytkanov said.
