A cryptocurrency (bitcoin) mining farm has been detected in Cholpon-Ata. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
The mining farm was set up by the heal of the local power authority. The fact was registered.
«A search was carried out in his house. The cryptocurrency mining farm was connected bypassing the electricity meter. While working in the power industry, using his official position, the official was engaged in the theft of electricity. Necessary investigative and operational measures are being carried out, the amount of damage caused is calculated,» SCNS said.
