Bishkek will host an exhibition on gender-based violence «Korkpo. Toktot. Zhasha!» The UN in Kyrgyzstan reported.
It is noted that the exhibition is dedicated to women who have experienced violence and discrimination. A total of 32 paintings will be presented, each of which has a unique story and message.
«Art has always been a dialogue of reason with feelings, and, perhaps, you will discover something new at this exhibition, which aims to express solidarity with women and call on society to stop the silent tradition of indifference to gender-based violence,» the statement says.
The works will be exhibited from December 5 to December 10, 2021 in the exhibition hall of the Artists’ Union.
