Heads of Batken and Sughd regions discuss situation at border

Heads of Batken region of Kyrgyzstan and Sughd region of Tajikistan met at Kulundy checkpoint. Press service of the Office of the Presidential Envoy to the region reported.

Abdikarim Alimbaev and Rajabboy Ahmadzoda discussed the latest incident at the border.

The heads of some regional departments and representatives of security agencies also participated in the negotiations.

Another incident at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border took place on December 1. Residents of a Tajik village detained a citizen of Kyrgyzstan. In response, Kyrgyzstanis detained their citizen. The hostages were released after negotiations.
