«Development of international transport corridors East-West, where significant success is observed, and North-South will increase cargo flows, including in transit traffic with China and the states of the European Union,» the Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, said at the 2nd Eurasian Congress.
According to him, such a transcontinental transport unity is of particular importance for the EAEU countries, which do not have access to the World Ocean. This will give them an additional increase in the gross domestic product and help build up foreign trade.
«In fact, the entire union, relying on rail and road routes, will become the most important transport hub of the world economy,» Mikhail Mishustin stressed.
