Employees of Tax Service, Transport Ministry detained on suspicion of corruption

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) detained four employees of the Tax Service and the transport control point of the Ministry of Transport. Press center of the state committee reported.

They are suspected of organizing corruption schemes in import of consumer goods from the EAEU countries into Kyrgyzstan.

The employees of these departments received money for ensuring unhindered passage of goods from the EAEU countries through Ak-Tilek tax accounting point and the transport control point.

Security officers found 114,300 soms during a search in Honda car of the chief inspector of the Department of State Tax Service for work with Indirect Taxes within the EAEU for Chui region. This is the money that some officers of Ak-Tilek tax accounting point systematically received as a reward for the unhindered passage of goods without appropriate documents or with an underestimated value of goods.
