The protesters oppose the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections. They are supporters of the candidate for deputy in the single-mandate constituency Mirlan Nazarbekov. They believe that bribery and administrative resources were used in the elections.

According to preliminary data, Mirlan Nazarbekov won 13,190 votes, and Dastan Dzhumabekov — 13,252.

Elections of deputies of the seventh convocation of the Parliament have ended in Kyrgyzstan. The electoral system was changed in the country, so there will be 90 deputies instead of 120. As a result, 54 deputies of the Parliament are elected according to the proportional system (open lists of candidates of political parties) in the single electoral district, 36 deputies — according to the majority system in single-mandate constituencies.
