Losing political parties hold rally in front of CEC building in Bishkek

Parties that did not pass the 5 percent threshold in the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan hold a rally in Bishkek.

About 100 people, disagreeing with the voting results, gathered near the CEC building. These are representatives of Uluttar Birimdigi, Ata Meken, Social Democrats and Azattyk parties.

According to a candidate from Azattyk party, Akhmatbek Keldibekov, the political organization believes that votes cast for them have disappeared. «Some candidates have won 10,000-12,000 votes each. The Central Election Commission is not someone’s private property. You cannot interfere with the process of calculation of votes by the automated system,» he said.

According to the candidate from Ata Meken party, Bektur Asanov, the elections were not fair. He stated that bribery and administrative resources were used during the voting.

According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, six parties get into the Parliament. Winners in single-seat constituencies were also announced.
