Energy crisis: Heating to be turned off in Osh city for two hours daily

Heating will be turned off in some districts of Osh city for two hours daily. Teplosnabzhenie municipal enterprise informed 24.kg news agency.

It is noted that due to the low water level in Toktogul reservoir, in order to prevent breakdowns, the municipal enterprise is forced to turn off the heating, which is provided with the help of electricity.

Heating be turned off in the following districts of Osh city:

  • Kurmanjan Datka microdistrict (southeast), running on electricity;
  • Amir-Timur microdistrict — YuVR-1, Shakirov street;
  • Cheryomushki microdistrict (Sulaiman-Too) — 126th and 119th quarters;
  • Kulatov settlement — Kulatov-1, Kulatov-3, Podgornaya (Kokum-Biy), Zhiydelik, Aviagorodok;
  • Anar microdistrict — Kerme-Too, Toloikon;
  • Dostuksky microdistrict — 195th quarter.

Specialists warn residents of the city that the power supply will be unstable during these hours.

«It should be noted that consumers of electricity in the indicated areas, where boiler houses of Teplosnabzhenie are installed, will not be de-energized and the supply of electricity will be uninterrupted. Oshelectro OJSC serves consumers in Osh, Batken regions and the city of Osh. There are no and there will not be any outages on the territory serviced by Oshelectro JSC, except for emergency situations for the safe repair and restoration work,» the company stressed.

Teplosnabzhenie municipal enterprise in Osh city is a heat supply organization, the main task of which is to generate heat at local boiler houses and provide consumers with heat energy.

«In order to prevent a shortage of electricity in the city’s power supply system and prevent emergencies, as well as in accordance with the issued technical conditions, the municipal enterprise is taking certain measures for the rational use of electricity and compliance with power consumption regimes during the hours of morning and evening maximum loads specified in the technical conditions,» Teplosnabzhenie municipal enterprise said.
