In the upcoming parliamentary elections, the country’s authorities will not allow bribery of voters. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at the first meeting of the Anti-Corruption Business Council.
According to him, the people of Kyrgyzstan are unhappy because of the dirty and unfair elections.
«All people in Kyrgyzstan are waiting for the parliamentary elections, waiting with the belief that they will be held honestly and transparently. Fraud and bribery is the same corruption aimed at something even more terrible than immediate enrichment. It is unfair elections that form the society in which bribes and nepotism become ineradicable woe. We will not forget the tragic page in the history of our country, tired of revolutions, and we will do everything so that every resident of Kyrgyzstan knows: his voice will not be stolen. I would like to assure our people that the Cabinet of Ministers, the security forces and me will take the most decisive actions to suppress such violations,» Sadyr Japarov noted.
Elections are scheduled for November 28 in Kyrgyzstan. At least 54 deputies of the Parliament are elected according to a proportional system (from open lists of candidates of political parties) in single electoral districts, 36 deputies are elected according to the majoritarian system in single-mandate constituencies.
