Border guards detained a citizen of Russia for illegal crossing of the state border. Press service of the State Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
While on duty, the border patrol unit noticed a citizen who was heading from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan wading across Chu river.
«The border guards stopped the illegal crossing of the state border and detained the violator. It was established during interrogation that the detained 31-year-old is a citizen of Russia. After drawing up the relevant documents, the violator of the state border was handed over to employees of the competent authorities for further investigation,» the State Border Service said.
