Small Kyrgyzstani falls from second floor of shopping center in Moscow

A boy from Kyrgyzstan was seriously injured after falling from the level of the second floor. RIA Novosti reports. Video of the incident was posed by the Prosecutor’s Office on social media.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Moscow started a check after a four-year-old boy fell in a shopping center in the south of the city. Spokeswoman for supervisory body, Lyudmila Nefedova, told.

«According to preliminary information, the four-year-old boy, unaccompanied by adults, approached escalator in a shopping center on Kirovogradskaya Street, caught on the handrail on the back of the escalator, got up to the level of the second floor and then fell,» Lyudmila Nefedova said.

According to her, the boy was taken to a medical facility with various injuries. He is currently in the intensive care unit at the Morozov Children’s City Clinical Hospital with an open craniocerebral injury, a fracture of the cranial vault, contusion of the brain and a closed chest injury.

Russian media also note that the child’s mother, a native of Kyrgyzstan, 25, explained that the baby was left unattended due to negligence.
