«Introduction of quarantine with strict rules and the state of emergency is the last measure that the government will take, if the epidemiological situation worsens,» the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Kubatbek Boronov, said at a meeting of the Republican Emergency Response Center.
According to him, the government will do everything possible so that such a moment does not come. In this case, assistance of citizens in compliance with sanitary rules and requirements is necessary. Only in this case quarantine measures can be avoided.
More than a month has passed since the resumption of the main areas of economic activity. To date, there is a daily worsening of the epidemiological situation in Bishkek, Osh, Chui and Osh regions.
About 50 percent of those infected do not know where they could get the infection.
«The issues of hospitalization of patients in medical facilities remain problematic, there are many complaints that it is not possible to get somebody on 118. The ambulance service arrives late,» Kubatbek Boronov said.
The Prime Minister stressed that in addition to ongoing work on increasing the number of beds in Bishkek, Chui region and Osh, it is also necessary to prepare additional places.
In total, 4,402 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan. More than half of them have already recovered.
