SDMK voices rules for work of mosques amid coronavirus pandemic

The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan has developed requirements for work of religious organizations in the republic. Press service of the muftiyat reports.

Believers have to wear face masks when visiting mosques. Body temperature of each visitor will be measured at the entrance.

«The believers must observe a distance of at least 1.5 meters. Handshakes and hugs are prohibited; sanitary and hygiene standards must be observed in the toilets. Children, the elderly and the sick are not recommended to come to mosques,» SDMK informed.

The muftiyat invites the believers to come with their prayer rugs. SDMK recommends reading some of the prayers at home and not staying in the mosque for more than 20 minutes.

The clergy also believes that prayers are now preferred to be read outdoors.

Recall, the Republican Emergency Response Center allowed opening of mosques and churches from June 8.
