Kubatbek Boronov meets with residents of border villages in Batken region

The First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov met with residents of border villages in Kadamdzhai district of Batken region. Press service of the Government reported.

Citizens told the First Deputy Prime Minister about the current problems, as well as causes of the conflict with residents of a village in Sokh district of Uzbekistan. In his turn, Kubatbek Boronov told about the agreements reached with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.

«The government keeps solution of border issues, the socio-economic development of border areas, as well as strengthening of public security and order in these territories under special control,» Kubatbek Boronov stressed.

The First Vice Prime Minister also noted that based on the appeals of residents, relevant work will be carried out. Instructions were given to relevant state bodies and local authorities.

Earlier, residents of Batken region expressed dissatisfaction that the First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov did not meet with them, but went to meet with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.

Recall, the incident started with a skirmish between residents of the two villages. Each of the parties claimed that Chechme spring well belonged to them. Then the parties began to throw stones at each other. At least 25 citizens of Kyrgyzstan turned to hospital.
