One of the reasons for infection of medical personnel with coronavirus may be non-compliance with safety rules. The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Sabirzhan Abdikarimov told at a briefing.
According to him, the commission is now figuring out why medical workers have become infected.
«Someone could contract the virus in the family, and someone — at work. Doctors put on gloves, glasses, protective suits in the foci of the disease. Perhaps, some of them did not observe safety rules when they put on and put off the personal protective means, and therefore got infected,» Sabirzhan Abdikarimov said.
He noted that the Government is deciding on the payment of compensation to infected medical workers.
At least 665 cases of coronavirus were registered in Kyrgyzstan, 175 of them are doctors.
