At least 7,050 criminal cases on domestic violence out of 8,159 have been dismissed in Kyrgyzstan. Representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced at a meeting of Ata Meken parliamentary faction.
According to him, many victims write counter-statements in order to salve a marriage.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 4,084 people are registered with the ministry as persons committed domestic violence.
