Lawyer of the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, Sergei Slesarev, has been interrogated by the Military Prosecutor’s Office. He told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, documents concerning his client Atambayev were seized from him by court order. «But these are documents of my principal, and they constitute a legal secret, I have no right to give any explanations. They tried to interrogate me on these documents, I answered them that I could not say anything, and explained why. Then they began to ask me about some kind of bag (a pink plastic bag that appears in the case of Kursan Asanov. — Note of 24.kg news agency), but I could not explain anything. I don’t understand what I have to do with it,» said Sergei Slesarev.
The lawyer added that the investigators threatened to continue summoning for interrogation up to the forced bringing.
Another lawyer, Zamir Zhooshev, was summoned to the Military Prosecutor’s Office earlier.
Almazbek Atambayev himself is accused of especially serious crimes: violence against law enforcement agencies, murder, hostage-taking, riots, corruption.
