Trial of the case on unlawful release of a crime boss Aziz Batukaev was to take place in the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek today.
Prior to the trial, a lawyer Nina Zotova said that her client Abdukhalim Raimzhanov was hospitalized. She asked to postpone the trial to another date.
In addition, it became known that the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev also became ill.
Investigation into unlawful release of the crime boss was resumed in January 2019. It was sent to court in October.
The defendants are 19 people. These are doctors and laboratory assistants, who diagnosed the convict, representatives of the State Penitentiary Service and other senior officials, including the former head of state Almazbek Atambayev.
