Police arrest man with large batch of heroin in Chui region

Police officers arrested a man with a large batch of heroin in Issyk-Ata district of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the State Drug Trafficking Control Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Operational information has previously been received that the man has been engaged in sale of drugs. On December 11, the police detained a car with the 33-year-old A.A. at a stationary post. About 6,140 kg of heroin were found in his bag.

«The fact was registered under the Article «Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for sale» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, employees of the State Drug Trafficking Control Service detained an organizer of a stable drug distribution channel, 51-year-old R.U. in Batken region. Suspected persons were placed in a pre-trial detention center,» the state service added.
