Number of HIV-positive is growing among the migrants. Deputy Sagyndyk Keldibaev announced at a parliament meeting today.
According to him, doctors at medical centers in Russia are concerned about the health of migrants.
“Our compatriots working as doctors in the Russian Federation turned to me. According to them, the number of different infectious diseases among the migrants is growing. Migrants from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have the same problems,” the MP said.
In the past four months alone, 480 migrants, who applied for a medical certificate in order to get a job, have been diagnosed with HIV.

The deputy suggested using the example of neighboring countries and take an express HIV test right at the airport upon return home.
It is known that 12 million soms are needed to finance measures to combat HIV in the republic for the next year. The officials did not take this additional need into account when forming the 2020 state budget.
