Parliament deputy Altynbek Sulaimanov summoned for interrogation to SCNS

Deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Altynbek Sulaymanov was summoned for questioning to the State Committee for National Security. Own sources informed 24.kg news agency.

It is known that the deputy was summoned to the SCNS in ​​the framework of a criminal investigation based on the materials of Azattyk today. Altynbek Sulaimanov is a witness in the case.

A journalistic investigation into smuggling and corruption at the Customs caused a massive public outcry. The publication states that unknown persons repeatedly threatened a Chinese businessman Aierken Saimaiti with murder in Kyrgyzstan, so he was forced to flee to Turkey. He was killed there.

The Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case and entrusted an interdepartmental investigation group with the investigation.

The former deputy head of the Customs Service Raiymbek Matraimov was questioned at the State Committee for National Security on November 29.

Earlier, Azattyk journalists themselves were called to the SCNS for questioning. Mukhammedali Toktakunov and Ydyrys Isakov are in Prague, but said they were ready to testify remotely.

Investigators will also interrogate the initiator of creation of Umut 2020 movement Shirin Aitmatova and the deputy of the Parliament Duishon Torokulov. In addition, members of the working group on the inauguration of the president — former head of the Presidential Administration Farid Niyazov, current Prime Minister Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev and the head of the president’s and government’s affairs Turdunazir Bekboyev will be also questioned.
