Kyrgyzstani attempts to smuggle over 120 kg of naswar to Russia

Specialists of Kurgan Department of Rospotrebnadzor detected and seized a batch of naswar that a resident of Bishkek was trying to smuggle across the border of Russia and Kazakhstan at Petukhovo border crossing. Press service of Rospotrebnadzor for Kurgan Oblast reported.

According to it, 127.5 kilograms of naswar were packed in five polypropylene bags. «Examination showed that the substance imported into Russia did not have a marking with information required by law or regulatory documents,» the control and supervision department explained the reason for the seizure of naswar.

A protocol was drawn up in relation to the citizen of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with part 4 of Article 15.12 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (turnover of tobacco products without marking).

Naswar was seized and transferred for safekeeping to the Tyumen Customs. Subsequently, the substance is supposed to be destroyed.
