A France-Presse correspondent in Kyrgyzstan Tolkun Namatbaeva was summoned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of the criminal case on the events in Koi-Tash on August 7-8. She confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
According to her, the criminal police invite her to a conversation, but they did not send an official summons.
«They called a few days ago and asked to come to a conversation. Today I received a call too, I said that I would come only after receiving the summons and if my lawyer is free. According to them, my phone number is on the printout with the phone numbers of the people associated with Koi-Tash. In those days, as a journalist, I called everyone: the headquarters in Koi-Tash, members of the SDPK Political Council,» Tolkun Namatbaeva said.
On August 7-8, special forces of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan attempted to storm the residence of the former head of state Almazbek Atambayev in Koi-Tash village. About 45 people were injured, and the deputy commander of Alpha was killed during the unrest.
