There are 701 groups of family doctors in Kyrgyzstan, 72 of them have no doctors at all. Such data are presented on the family medicine forum.
It is reported that one doctor instead of three—five work at 281 family doctors groups.
About 1,700 certified family doctors work in the republic. There are about 3,600 people per each of them, while according to the standards of the Ministry of Health there should be 1,500-1,700. Moreover, there are areas with from 6,000 to 18,000 people per one doctor.
About 80 percent of doctors are at retirement and pre-retirement age. The country needs about 2,000 specialists.
An average salary of family doctors in 2019 was 21,000 — 27,000 soms, nurses — 9,100.
