Chunkurchak ski base will continue working, despite its current account was blocked. Director of the complex Alexander Bredis told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the Pervomaisky District Court blocked the settlement account of Red Rocks LLC at the request of the head of the investigation team of the Military Prosecutor's Office.
"To open the season, we need at least 50 centimeters of natural snow. The accounts of the complex were blocked, but no one forbade commercial activity. Nurbek Sharshenov has been a co-founder of Red Rocks since 2013, but his close relationship with the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev was not mentioned among the employees of the complex,” said Alexander Bredis.
He noted that, in addition to the blocked account, the ski base has problems with transformation of land for its further expansion.
"It was planned to open from 15 to 17 additional cable ways. However, since 2016, the company has not been allowed the transformation and further purchase of land. Despite all the problems, we continue to care for the road from Tatyr village to the ski base. Presumably, the base will be ready to receive guests in the second half of December,” added Alexander Bredis.
24.kg news agency has a document stating that the investigation team of the Military Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a criminal case against the former head of state Almazbek Atambayev under the Article "Corruption” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigators found out that the former president, using his official position, entered into a conspiracy with relatives and affiliates and started money laundering.
Atambayev created a threat to the interests of society and the state, legalized property obtained as a result of committing criminal acts.

"The investigation team of the Military Prosecutor’s Office is also conducting pre-trial proceedings on the fact of the illegal enrichment of Almazbek Atambayev. In addition to other property, bank accounts, shares and contents of the safety deposit boxes of Red Rocks LLC were seized,” the document states.
As a part of the criminal case against Almazbek Atambayev, the court seized 120 property objects of the former head of state and his relatives. The list includes bank accounts, apartments, houses, offices, non-residential premises, cars of not only Almazbek Atambayev and his family members, but also Kyrgyzavtomash OJSC, Media Forum, Aprel LLC and a public foundation with the same name.
