Rally against corruption held in Bishkek

A rally against corruption was held on Ala-Too square in Bishkek.

About 200 people have gathered on the square. Protesters held portraits of the ex-deputy head of the State Customs Service Raiymbek Matraimov. They demanded to arrest the former customs officer.

A deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Dastan Bekeshev came to the protest. The parliament member believes that he should support the citizens. "I came to this rally as a deputy supporting my citizens. I believe that if people put hands in your pocket, then they should be held accountable for it,” the deputy said.

Organizers of the protest asked to observe public order and not violate the law.
