An interdepartmental working group checked the activities of the ex-Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in the Republic of Turkey Erkin Sopokov and returned to Bishkek. The head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Sydykov told at a press conference.
According to him, the group will report to the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov based on the results of their trip and work.
Daniyar Sydykov also told that after the scandalous incident, it was decided to check the use of official vehicles with diplomatic number plates at all embassies and diplomatic missions of the country.
Recall, Aierken Saimaiti, who was killed in Turkey on November 10, drove a car of Erkin Sopokov, the Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul. Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov said Erkin Sopokov violated the law by handing over the car with diplomatic number plates to a private automobile dealership for sale.
