«Only I had weapons when the guys — special forces — went to the third floor, I shot five or six times up,» the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev told reporters.

He added that it was dark. «I don’t know whether it was bound shot or not, I tried not to hit any of the guys (special forces — Note of 24.kg news agency), but someone kept pushing them forward all the time, I immediately warned that I would resist. I openly say that in order none of the guys (Atambayev’s supporters — Note of 24.kg news agency) to be accused of it,» the former president said.
