The head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Idris Kadyrkulov resigned. Press center of the committee reported.
Currently, the public and especially the non-governmental sector are actively discussing in the media the information about allegedly biased consideration of pre-trial check materials by the State Committee for National Security on the purchase of biometric passports forms and the interest of Idris Kadyrkulov in the unequivocal outcome of the case.
«The State Committee has repeatedly issued press releases about presence of a sufficient evidence base on the mentioned materials about the unlawful use of powers by officials of the State Registration Service for personal enrichment. At the same time, the situation around this topic continues to evoke a vigorous public reaction,» the SCNS stressed.
«Taking into account these circumstances, including ambiguous public resonance, and also to exclude conjectures about my possible influence on the course of the investigation, I decided to resign from the post of the SCNS Chairman and submitted a corresponding notice to the President — Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic,» Idris Kadyrkulov said.
Yesterday, the State Committee for National Security admitted that the head of the committee, Idris Kadyrkulov, informally met with the Chairwoman of the State Registration Service Alina Shaikova and offered to start own production of documents of national importance with a high security degree.
