Sooronbai Jeenbekov tells about advantages of doing business in Kyrgyzstan

President Sooronbai Jeenbekov, speaking at the Kyrgyz-German business forum «Kyrgyzstan and Bavaria: Investment Opportunities» in Munich, told about the advantages of doing business in Kyrgyzstan. The Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.

According to Sooronbai Jeenbekov, a favorable geographical location, rich natural resources and qualified low-cost labor are the natural advantages of a country which has a flexible education system that allows training of necessary personnel in a short time.

We have one of the most liberal fiscal regimes in the region. Profit and income tax rates are only 10 percent each, and VAT is 12 percent.

«Access to low-cost resources, including low-cost labor and electricity, provides benefits for joint ventures. Electricity tariffs are the lowest among the CIS countries. Public-private partnership tools are actively promoted. Significant tax preferences for investors implementing regional projects in industry are provided. The ongoing judicial and legal reform will provide more reliable guarantees of property rights and the observance of contract law,» the head of state said.

He added that Kyrgyzstan was attractive in the field of tourism. «We have a large number of nature reserves, biosphere zones and resort facilities. We have unique opportunities for climbers, skiers, hunters and tourists, explorers of historical monuments of the Great Silk Road. Kyrgyzstan was one of the first in the region to unilaterally introduce a visa-free regime with 52 developed countries of the world,» Sooronbai Jeenbekov added.
