As a result of 2018, the Deposit Protection Fund, which is the financial support for the protection of population’s funds in banks, was formed in the amount of 2,188.9 billion soms in Kyrgyzstan. The Deposit Protection Agency reported.
Since 2008, the size of the fund has increased 60 times — from 36 million soms to 2.18 billion soms.
The total share of the government contributions amounted to 257.7 million soms, banks — participants — 1,199.6 billion soms and capitalized net income from investments in government securities — 731.6 million soms.
